In college, Adele Pound, dismayed her fine art tutors by insisting on painting wildlife. The natural world remains the inspiration for all her work, including comics. Whether sketching wintering birds through a telescope, or sitting in the undergrowth studying insects, she still insists on drawing wildlife.
